Team Xtreme

American Fishing Wire supports professional team fishing

the team Team Xtreme is a women’s only team based in Elkton, Maryland, and captained by Nicole Rice. The team participates in tournament fishing, delivers lectures, and leads seminars and outings serving their mission to introduce women and children to – and educate them about – the excitement of sport fishing. In addition to chalking up a win at the Catchin’ for Kids Rockfish Tournament (see below), the team enjoys fishing at tournaments up and down the east coast. A particular favorite event is the Poor Girls Open, in Ocean City, Md., a release points contest for billfish for ladies only, benefitting the American Cancer Society.
