Hailing from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Team My Three Sons is captained by Terry Grantham, and runs a 33-foot Hydro Sport with 3 F250 Yamaha powerplant. The team recently won a Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour event in Sarasota, Fla., with a 2-kingfish total weighing 63 lb. 10 oz.
First place • 2006 Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour Event, Sarasota, Fla. A two kingfish total weighing 63 lb. 10 oz. was enough to win the three-day event. The day one catch of 37 lb. 10 oz. put the team in third place, but day two saw them return to port empty handed. Their day one catch kept them in the running for Saturday's day three competition. Keeping to their strategy of fishing Boca Grande Pass for the entire event, they returned once more. After about three hours coming up empty, they finally "caught one little mullet after about three hours of trying," Grantham said. "And I'll be if that kingfish didn't eat that one mullet."
